ANSWERS:  1. I Cor. 14:1; 2. Prophecy and tongues;  3. I Cor. 14:3;  4.  I Cor. 14:4;  5. I Cor. 14:7-10;  6. I Cor. 14:11---barbarian, foreigner;  7. Many things, but here are a few: (1) The tongues involved a lanuage that could be learned; (2) Others joined in with an "Amen" at the end of prayer led by one person (all did not pray aloud at once); (3) Prayer should be in a language that could be understood by all; 8. I Cor. 14:19;  9. Teleios, "perfect"; 10. Isaiah 28:11—The unbelieving Jews had not listened to their prophets in their own language in their call for repentance. Now in judgment they would have to listen to the foreign language of Babylon as they were carried into Babylonian captivity. "Other tongues and lips" were a sign of judgment to these unbelieving Jews, not of honor. But the Corinthians were glorying in that which was a sign of judgment, not honor.  11. "Let all things be done unto edifying," I Cor. 14:26 (14:3,4,5,12,17); 12. I Cor. 14:27,28;  13. I Cor. 14:29-32;  14. I Cor. 14:31;  15. I Cor. 14:32;  16. I Cor. 14:33;  17. I Cor. 14:34 (I Timothy 2:13,14; Genesis 3;16); 18. I Cor. 14:37;  19.  I Cor. 14:38 (if any man ignores this, let him be ignored);  20. I Cor. 14:40.
